Width. You can choose a custom width for your poll. Try one out. You can see the changes on the poll preview.

Category. If you are logged in you set a category like "entertainment" or "sports" and your poll will end up on a modpoll category page.

Date. If you are logged in you can specify an end date for your poll. Otherwise, anonymous polls are automatically set to accept votes for 30 days. Once a poll ends it will no longer accept votes and will just display the results.
